Splashes of Green is a place where I come to share creativity.
Angelica Hamann is a graphic designer, artist, and educator. Recently, I served as an instructor to TK through 2nd-grade students in an expanded learning afterschool program, where I taught art lessons that were also combined with math, science, and writing. It was such a joy to see what my young students were able to imagine and create. I believe everyone is creative and given the chance to shine! As a believer in lifelong learning, I seek creative opportunities that will allow me to grow, collaborate, and be inspired.
In search of inspiration and collaboration with others, I am part of a diverse group of creatives called CreativeMornings. I attend monthly live events in San Francisco and Oakland while participating in engaging and insightful weekly Zoom meetings called FieldTrips. To refresh my drawing skills and open up my mind to new experiences and support from others, I am now part of The Grown-Ups Table (GUT), a subscription-based Substack offering weekly DrawTogether classes for adults given by creator and artist, Wendy MacNaughton.
In addition to my work experience, I continue to pursue my passion for the environment, community, and animals. Since moving to Northern California, I have participated in community science projects through The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation's Bumble Bee Atlas and planted a pollinator garden to help Monarch butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and other species.
